The Indiana Toll Road Concession Company’s 80/90 PUSH Project will rehabilitate the pavement and bridges within a 73 mile segment of the Toll Road, from Lake Station (milepost 20) to Elkhart (milepost 93). Our goal is to minimize the impact to customers by keeping traffic moving safely and proactively communicating with our customers and community stakeholders.

Toll Road Bridge Work: - Burns Ramp (MM 20.74). The Lake Station (Exit 21) Exit Ramps are closed (entrance ramps remain open).

Local Roadway Bridge Work (Local officials have been notified and detours established):
- US 421 (Michigan City) - lane closure with width restriction (no detour)
- Chicago Trail (New Carlisle) – Closed until November 18th
- Hunts Road (New Carlisle) – NOW OPEN
- Fail Road (LaPorte) - Closed until November 18th
- Fir Road (Granger) – NOW OPEN
- McCombs Street (South Bend) - Closed until Memorial Day, 2017
Also, there will be local lane restrictions (flagmen) on Central Avenue and Swanson Road in the City of Portage. The restrictions begin Monday, October 17th and extend through Wednesday, November 23rd.
Minimizing Traffic Impact
To expedite the overall project schedule, construction will occur 24/7. One lane will be maintained in each direction throughout the project. Single lane closures on the toll road combined with a reduced work zone speed limit is intended to keep traffic moving smoothly and maintain a safe environment for construction workers and travelers.

Lake Station Detour Information
The exit ramps from the Indiana Toll Road to I-80/I-94 in Lake Station are closed to allow for the rehabilitation of the bridge over Burns Ditch. All traffic exiting the Toll Road should use I-65 as an alternate route.
